માર્યા તાળાં મજબૂત દ્વાર પડીને વાગ્યા બાર

વ્હાલો નીકળી નાઠો બહાર, વ્હેલ તરત કીધી તૈયાર
ગાડું હાંકે જગદાધાર કહે પછી શું લાગે વાર

ઉમરેઠ પકડી લીમડા ડાળ મીઠી થઈ તે તત્કાળ
વ્હાણું વાયું વીતી રાત ડાકોર માંહે થયું પ્રભાત

ગંગાબાઈએ નિરખ્યો નાથ, ઉર ઉમકળે જોડ્યા હાથ
ડાકોર વરત્યો જય જયકાર, દ્વારિકામાં હાહાકાર

દ્વારિકાના રાજાની સાથ ગુગળી લેવા આવ્યા નાથ
ભગત સામે લેવા જાય, માર્યો ભાલે મૃત્યુ થાય

ભાવિકોના દિલ દુઃખાય બદલો લેવા સામા ધાય
ગંગાબાઈએ ધીરજ ધરી, વ્હાલમજીએ વિપત્ત હરી

Dakor Ranchodrayji – Part 5 Jay Ranchod, nothing else.

We have seen history upto almost V.S 1750 in this series, where Lord krishna Idol got name of RAnchod MATA also and got true Sadhu-Mahatma also who had identified the God and started daily Pooja-Path at right place. 

Part1   -- Describes Detail and know story of Bodano and Dwarka, some unknown facts and many more 

Part2   -- Describes what happened in Dakor. There are also some self experiences mentioned which are worth to read, after reading you will definitely go for it for sure. 

Part 3  -- Describes What happened to Krishna Idol after Bodano died, for almost 300 years. Lying idle and worshiped by Adivasis  mostly and many more things. 

Part4    --Describes what happened after when one able sadhu-mahatma arrives and made small temple at actual location

Part5   -- Describes how lakshmiji temple built first and then how current Ranchodrayji temple built. What are the traditions followed then and now.

Part6  --Given “Ranchod bavni” in gujarati and one imaginary Bhajan by PArsi Manoos for Lord Krishna (actual by some unknown)

Now comes one more twist, it is about general tease between husband and wife, same happened to Lakshmiji and husband Vishnuji also, to show her at higher stage goddess Lakshmiji appeard in dream to one of the richest businessman in Khambhat state. She ordered him to make a temple in Dakor of her and place Krishna Idol into that temple. That businessman did the same and I am sure you have visited Laksmiji temple of Dakor, which is elder than current Ranchodji temple is the same one where Goddess Lakshmiji reside as a main character.

Later on, within next 30-40 years of time, Lord vishwakarma Appeared on behalf of Lord Vishnu into dream of Tambekar (ruler of Dakor governed by Baroda Gaikwad) and said that there is a plan of temple in your office at so and so place, build the giant temple in the ground opposite to Gomti lake. He did the same and today prasad which is offered at Ranchodrayji temple is then routed to Lakshmiji temple. At a fix date Ranchodrayji goes to Lakshmiji temple for some fix time and return back on the same day. There is also one chandbibi dargah adjacent to temple wall at east gate, which is also important. Today temple comes under charity commissioner and there is fix schedule for Brahmins (tapodhan, gugli, and shrigol) for coming 10 years. There is also fix Astrologers specially for temple who decides the directions, timings and dates for any auspicious days round the year and for next 10 years.

Tip1  : Whenever you go to Dakor, don’t forgot to do the Pradakshina, and  don’t miss the Kesar milk and other items which are sold or given as the prasad backside the temple in the pradakshina route. Specially don’t miss Kesar Dudh.

Tip2  : don’t forget to visit Lakshmiji Temple and Dunknath Mahadev Temple as these both are associated with Journy of Lord Krishna during 1212 to 1828. Also go to the Footsteps temple which is actually in the Gomti lake (there is small bridge over there). If you are lucky you will see very giant turtle (almost 4-5ft long ) in the lake.

Tip3  : Don’t miss “ Vatidal na Khaman” made by one deaf and dumb guy located near “Kanku Darwaja” and “Chetan’s Gota” located in “Vada Bajar” area. Both are nearby to the temple. and both are famous one, you can ask any shopkeeper there. 

Tip4 : During Diwali time perioed, it is really nice to be there in Dakor. The Atmosphere is really astonishing , people across dakor walking here and there in every temples. Lakshmiji temple, Hanumanji temple located opposite to Gomti Lake, Kuleshwari Mata temple and many more. Everyone dressed in new cloths, shaking hands with each other. It was so good that I love to be there. 

Tip5:  If possible be there at Dakor during night at Dushera time when Lord Ranchodrayji goes out of Dakor for hanging rakhi which he has tied during RAkshabandhan to the one tree (Khijdo) outside dakor. This place is called “ranchodrayji ni vadi”. Lord were sitting on elephant and musicians  with flute and dhol in hand played dhun all around the trip.

Dakor Ranchodrayji – Part 4 Why the real Sadhu-Mahatama’s are great in past, present and future also.

 A humble request to you all .......

We have seen in last part how Lord Krishna Idol got identified as RANCHOD MATA by local adivasis, now in this post we will see what happened to the Idol after almost V.S 1500. 

India has a history of Sadhu-Mahatma’s who has changed the entire picture in past. Those Sadhu’s who are really able to do the things, never said that in public, and tells in public are mostly fraud. There are so many examples currently. But during that days it was tradition that Sadhu’s were keep changing their locations to spread Dharma more and more. One such very able Sadhu with his mandali came to Dakor for short stay. Name is not available of that Mahatma, but he identified that this idol which was lying in mud is not normal one, he had seen God Vishnu in that Idol. 

He immediately shifted that Idol to the opposite ground where current temple has been built up, clean the surrounding and made one small hut kind of temple.  There were instances where Adivasis, which were doing puja and Vadh for almost 200 years, comes there for Bali (cutting goats), but this Mahatma and his team make them runaway.  By this way he had stopped worshipping of Ranchod Mata and started worshipping him Daily as “Ranchod Rayji Bhagwan”. 

He had set tradition for daily pooja and some others. He and his followers had continued this kind of tradition and pooja till next 200-250 years. Now comes 1750 portion, where one more twist is awaiting for this idol.

We will talk about the same in next post, but till then go through tips and make sure that you will be there and do all the things mentioned in tips.

Dakor Ranchodrayji – Part 3 What happened after Bodano died

Hi Dear Readers, 

We have gone through some known facts, stories, some imp self experiences in previous two posts mentioned here:

Now totally unknown portion comes. You will not find any suitable information regarding this anywhere, even if the official history released by Dakor temple committee here. 

When soldiers from Dwarka had killed Bodano and later on weighting and all that done, Idol of Lord Dwarkadish lying on the bank of Gomti only, half in to the mud.  It was lying there as it is for so many years, almost 200-250 years. 

Now comes the interesting part, if you have noticed during shringar of Ranchodrayji idol currently, and if you have noticed at that particular time the head of the idol, there is a mugat carved by default in the idol which looks like Adivasi queen (feathers of peacock on both the sides). So because of this thing, people living around Dakor (who were mostly Adivasis and lower castes) felt that this idol is of Goddess  and they even named if “RANCHOD  MATA”. They started to offer goats to Ranchod Mata once their wishes completes. This has happened actually. Blood of goats had been there in front of idol.  

This thing continued for almost 200 years. Idol was still there on the bank of Gomti Lake, half in the mud.

We have talked about the thing happened during V.S 1212 to around V.S 1500. Still there is almost 300 years left before which current temple of Lord Krishna built. Actual temple got built and completed in V.S 1828 (in our term year 1772).

So still there are three twists left before out series ends. Till then enjoy reading and go to the Dakor even if you got little chance or time.

Why Gujarat is so Vibrant, report of Vibrant Navaratri by Gujarat Govt.

Yesterday I had gone to see Vibrant Navaratri organized by Gujarat Government. Some key points first:

•         This govt event has been organized since last few years only (almost 2004). Initially it started from Gandhinagar and now held in Ahmedabad since last 2-3 years.
•         This is not only Garba event; it consists of food court, handloom expo, adventure sports, kids entertainment and Gujarat documentary in special shows.
•   This event is addition to that Independence, 26^th jan parade, and 1 st May program that has been now celebrated to different districts.
•        It is organized based on PPP model, no entrance fees, almost all the expenditure borne by GINFS society created by top Gujarat based industries.

Now highlights of yesterday’s visit:

• ·        It is such a big ground, almost 2-3 football ground and every part of this ground is occupied for the event.
• ·        There were almost more than 50,000 people (my prediction is nearly 75K) in the event, scattered over different podiums.
• ·        There were nearly thousand traditional garba players playing on the trek which is almost 1Km long.
• ·        There was also provision for non-traditional players outside the main trek, where so many people playing in individual groups.
• ·        Ample Audio and Video arrangement with big screens all around the venue.
• ·        There were theme based pavilions, like Ambaji, Somnath mandir, Ram mandir, Gujarat’s 1000 year story and many more.
• ·        Kids and young boys were busy in playing games like cycling, trekking on rock mountain, waterball, rolling ball and many more things
• ·        One totally new stage was made specially to promote our talent through Gujarat Yuva and Sanskrutik Department, where continues program of small traditional garbs, natak lok-dayro played.
• ·        College students were involved in adventure sports management on nominal fees.
• ·        There were so many local Gujarat made handicraft stalls where you can find dresses, gift items, some innovative products, mittikool and many more things.

Now some quick bites for this Vibrant event:

• ·        This event has been visited by 14 ambassadors on special invitation by Gujarat Government and they all felt extraordinary after visiting the site.
• ·        This event is going on till 16^th oct. Closing time is 12M, due to this event almost everywhere in western Ahmedabad including private party plots, garba starts after 12 only. This is really a big thing.
• ·        I still remember during Gandhinagar Vibrant event, there were more than 5k audience during practice sessions. During actual event people
• ·        Security arrangements and medical arrangement can be visible there.

Now main thing, I have taken some snaps but could not upload it here because of low quality. I will surely upload whenever I got next chance.

Breaking news for secular media:  Modi has created special RAM JANAMBHOOMI model there, with mandir built and location map with ram rasoi, sita kund and many more.

Hi Friends, 

Today I am going to talk about Vijanagar, Pariej lake and Kanewal lake. I  very good number of visitors but almost no one in interested in further inquiry or giving more information through mail or comments.

Now keeping our pace with the post starting with vijaynagar.

Vijayanagar: It is famous for its centuries old structures, mandirs. Which are now in bad shape but still it attracts. Process for putting Vijayanagar structures into world heritage list was going on, I don’t know about its current status, but whatever it may, place is worth to visit. There is not only old mandirs, but also green lush jungle, rivers and checkdams. Best time for visit is Aug – Jan. It is like treasure hunt trip, the places, surroundings, narrow roads, sounds of animals and birds. You will found so many places for halt in between.

I have few relatives there and they have told me many stories about the same places, which is beyond our belief. This place is around 150Km away from Ahmedabad. Take ambaji route through Himmatnagar and turn right from Khedbrahma or Ider. Some photos

Parieej Lake:  This place is heaven for bird watchers. This is actually a bird sanctuary. It is on the way to Kheda-Khambhat. Some 60 km away from Ahmedabad, good outing place. Recently tourism department has made some very good facilities like watch tower, sand dunes, resting facility, garden and road. They are also planning for boat ride in the lake and lake is very very big. There are some hidden places also for birds.

Best thing is lake is somehow 200 meters from the main road, but you will lots of foreigner and local birds beside the road also. This time Govt has made sand dunes for their resting. You will get actual idea once you visit the place.

Kanewal lake: It is somehow 80 Km away from Ahmedabad, near to Tarapur (14KM). This is one more lake near to Parieej lake. It is the place where professional bird watcher goes in early morning. Now here also govt has made some good facilities, small garden, toilet, steps and many more. Here water is so clean that you can see the bottom very easily and there is only one boat man there.

I have talked with him, and he arranges not only boat ride, but lunch also with rotla and bhadtu. It is also one of good place. On the way to this place, you will see rice & wheat fields everywhere. Just look at these photos.

One True Scary Incident .........

I was reading today’s (Wednesday) GUJARAT SAMACHAR supplement called “ Shatdal Purti”. I seen one big photo of one palace in Santrampur and immediately I remembered scary incident happened with me.  See the photo as below;

Now the incident:  My father is posted at Santrampur since last 10 years in Govt run civil Hospital as a Superintendent of Civil. I went to santrampur during one of my vacation almost 5-6 years back and stay with my father. 

I have fond of wondering alone at historical, natural places. The palace mentioned above is nearby my father’s hospital, walking distance. Generally palaces are 2 storied or max 3 floor buildings, but this one is massive, more than 4 floors. Very attractive, it is visible from main road. Some 25-30 years back, this building was used as PTC College. Bur after some time it was closed down and shifted to another place, currently some part of this palace has been collapsed and in very bad condition. 

So one good day, I went to this palace in morning time. There are few small houses beneath the palace. My father has given me one reference there, and I went directly to his home. I inquired about the palace and current scenario. They had given me very good information but advised me to not to go there. 

But I decided to go there at least once, I went there from backside. There was platform for elephant, parking place and many other things. On the way to main building,  I was looking upwards for overview, when my eyes got attention towards one small window (just look in to the picture and window), suddenly one old man (around 80s) face come up from inside with lantern in his hands and asked me “what are you doing here” and stared at me for a while. I was so frightened for a while. Within a 15-20 seconds that face disappears.

Immedietely I gave up the idea and went for one another palace which is just 1-2 km away and currently used by RajPariwar. 

Later on, I had asked that nearby family that “is there any chowkidar/guard there in the palace”?. They said it is totally khander now, no one there as of now, but earlier one old man does the same thing.

Still, I don’t believe that the same thing happened to me although I am in constant search of such old buildings and spirits. I do believe that was a real man, no spirit but as per the circumstances and surrounding it was really frightening.

More on this topic: One of my uncles is doing such spirit related things, I have heard so many instances, stories from him, but till date I have not seen or feel any.

I know, many of you will doubt about the incident. I invite them all to visit the same place once. For location details please write to me or comment it out.

Gujarat as on 2009 after 2001 - you will not read/hear it in national media

Before I start you must keep in mind that

• We should appreciate 80-90 % work against 20-30%, if we find mistakes in that it is also not 100% or it is on not 80-90 it is 79-89%, then problem lies in ourselves.
• When we are clear in what to do (targets/dream/scheme), how to do (policies/collective efforts) and when to do(practical timeline), we will surely achieve target. Common principle for efficient government is to make everything straight, simple & accessible by all.
• Whenever work done by heart means you like your work, you feel proud in doing so (national/society interest work) than there will be a no stress, no complains, no age problems occurs.
You all thought why I am giving lecture, but it is related to our post. Just read on and you will connect all the dots by yourself.

Industrialization :
Earlier: Infrastructure without proper facilities (i.e roads), no long term policy, common policy for agriculture, industry, small scale industries, no interlinking of various businesses.
Now: Proper road connectivity, street lights water facility available in almost all GIDCs, separate policy for dairy industry, agriculture, small scale industries and that also changes every 5-6 year to improve further (keeping long term targets and make practical solution of small problem faced by end user/industrialist). Make everything straight and simple & accessible by all.

Agriculture:
Earlier: excessive use of water and urea, ground water level decreasing, no planning for new initiative/canal projects/dams etc. No government help to end farmers, one krishi university for whole state.
Now: Educated farmers to use drip irrigation and organic farming, not only tried but actually water levels are increasing in most of the region, new initiative like open canal (sujlam suflam), small checkdams, renovate all the existing market yards and connected it with main centers. Make four universities to reach out more and more region/farmers.

Security:
Earlier: As you read in earlier post
Now: No more gangs, Mafias active in all over Gujarat. Police become more efficient. Lease crime rate in all over India. Reforms in Home department. Police station are now connected through internet network, common database available in most of the police station – special software is developed by TCS and in testing phase in some police station. Forensic Lab is well equipped, new police university created

Riots:
Earlier: Frequent riots, curfew in sensitive areas of big cities almost 3 to 4 time a year.
Now: No more riot reported from 2002 to till date even after bomb blasts, and encroachment demolition (Mandirs and Masjids also), No curfew imposed in last 6-7 years in all over Gujarat.

Water
Earlier: tankers, droughts, schemes on paper, no long-term initiative/policy
Now: 98% no tanker, in last eight years we have received excessive rain but not less than normal, 2 Lakh Checkdams, boribandh(small checkdams with the help of empty urea bags), farm-ponds, PPP model initiatives, every year cleaning of major natural drainages in rural areas. Schemes as per particular region requirement. Make awareness in public about water. Interlinking of river and lots more but will cover in series 3 of post.

Light (Electricity):
Earlier: Frequent power cuts in villages, theft, transmission loss at its high etc
Now: under jyotigram all villages gets 24 hr light, Electricity board police station created and working efficiently to stop the theft, All the power generation stations were given target to increase in capacity, efficiency, and decrease in transmission loss. One of the reasons behind 24 hr electricity as they achieved in most of the areas. No free electricity but continuous light.

Economic Situation:
Earlier: deficit budget, frequent overdraft from RBI, mostly figures only.
Now: Find the loopholes, use latest technology to prevent the same. Now surplus budget, no overdraft since last seven years. Clear in incomings and outgoing, no hypothetical schemes like loan waiver, No free things, no free electricity etc.

Govt Companies/employees:
Earlier: Companies headed by political persons, rude attitude of Govt employee towards general public, loss occurred by most of the companies.
Now: All the things are predefined now. Targets, timeline and course of action. Companies headed by 100% IAS officers, better efficiency and results are in front of you. All the companies are profit making. Attitude is changed towards general public. One day governance concept introduced for some small and basic requirements.

Now you may want to know how these happened. I will go into detail each of the topic in coming posts. I will post some major initiative taken by Gujarat Government in supplementary post 2A tomorrow.

Now tell me is it not all round performance, is it possible without Government support, or is it possible without clear vision and targets. You judge by yourself and reply.
